Our business is honest trade, not complicated words hidden behind glossy visuals. Below, you can follow step by step the path our dried apricots and sun-dried apricots take from the orchard to the container.
The four steps below yellow apricot and sun-dried apricot describe the group of products that passes through our Şire Pazarı scale, is sorted and hand-picked at contracted facilities, and is shipped in carton boxes. Hard shell fuels (almond, walnut, hazelnut, peach kernel, pistachio shell) come from a different chain: as a by-product of crushing facilities, in their natural cracked form, and without any additional sorting, sizing or hand-picking shipped in bulk truckload / Big-Bag. Granules and peeling powder are supplied ready-ground at contracted facilities; mulberry molasses is produced by traditional boiling and shipped in tins/drums, while Iranian dates are imported and shipped under cold chain.
Harvest and Natural Drying (Farmer / Grower)
Fresh apricots harvested in the grower orchards within our supply network in the Malatya, Battalgazi and Akçadağ basins, and on the land of our valued farmers, are laid out under the Malatya sun as "Sun-Dried Apricot" and "Yellow Apricot" without any artificial oven-drying.
Şire Pazarı Direct Purchase Scale
Crops that reach their natural dryness in the sun come directly to our scale (Block A) at Yeni Şire Pazarı. There, cash purchases are made at the current market price with honest trading ethics. Intermediary commissions are minimized, and care is taken to protect the grower's rights.
Master Sorting & Traditional Sizing
The bulk crop received is passed through calibre sieves at contracted facilities and sized from Jumbo down to No: 8 (Industrial). In the final stage, rotten, damaged or darkened pieces are removed by hand-picking. Cartons are prepared within the tolerance range set for the ordered pcs/kg calibre.
Careful Packaging & Intercontinental Loading
Lots at the sulphur and moisture level compliant with the food regulations of the buyer country (EU, USA, etc.) are stacked on Euro pallets in food-grade 5 kg / 10 kg / 12.5 kg telescopic carton boxes and loaded into 20ft/40ft containers from the Port of Mersin. For export shipments, coordination can be arranged to have any requested analyses (COA) carried out through independent laboratories.
